Prime location, fun décor, and great food is found in this fun little place downtown. A mixture of a European café meets interactive playground is the only way to describe this place. The bright yellow accents, carefully placed plants, and life-sized egg baskets bring a sense of joy to each person that walks in.
The food is excellent! So it is a busy place for good reason. Each dish is unique and has the best local ingredients that a person can get. It may be expensive for this reason but you do get what you pay for. The "Meat-less to Say Breakfast Poutine," is a fresh, warm bit of comfort food that makes you melt in your chair. There was love in each bite, and I look forward to trying more dishes there.
My server was lovely. She checked on me, made sure that I was happy with my food, and made sure that I knew all the options on the menu. Despite being very busy, she made me feel welcome, was prompt with my order, and answered every question that I had.
The only problem that I have with this place is that it cost me $4.00 for a small bottle of diet coke. To me that just seems a little greedy and unnecessary. Despite this, OEB restaurant is a wonderful stop for when you are taking a morning walk and want to treat yourself with something special. They certainly have happy eggs in that kitchen.
Vegetarian options: Lots of good choices.
